Welcome to the Annenberg Learner blog space “Learner Log.”
At Annenberg Learner, we work to bring you the best resources to help you become thoughtful learners and incredible teachers in schools and homes. We are inspired by the questions you ask and the comments you make in the feedback we receive by email and social media. We encourage you to use this “Learner Log” to reflect and broaden the discussion as you create excellent learning environments, whether in a school building, at a kitchen table, or in a garden. The views expressed by the authors of Learner Log Blog posts are their own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions or endorsement of Annenberg Learner or the Annenberg Foundation.
Advancing Excellent Teaching in American Schools
Annenberg Learner uses media and telecommunications to advance excellent teaching in American schools. This mandate is carried out chiefly by the funding and broad distribution of educational video programs with coordinated web and print materials for the professional development of K-12 teachers. We are part of the Annenberg Foundation and advance the Foundation’s goal of encouraging the development of more effective ways to share ideas and knowledge.
Annenberg Learner’s multimedia resources help teachers increase their expertise in their fields and assist them in improving their teaching methods. Many programs are also intended for students in the classroom and viewers at home. All Annenberg Learner videos exemplify excellent teaching.
Annenberg Learner resources can be accessed for free at Learner.org, or can be purchased through the website or by calling 1-800-LEARNER.
